This March, we proudly celebrate 19 years of dedication, growth, and transformation at EnglishSmart.
The school’s journey began with a dream — a dream born in Toronto, Canada, in 1999. There, Miss Dani and professor Oscar prepared students with limited English proficiency to overcome barriers and achieve their language goals. From the very beginning, their purpose was clear: English was not just a subject — it was a bridge to opportunity.
In 2007, they opened their doors to the public in Querétaro, Mexico, bringing with them a bold vision: to teach high-quality English in a different way.
And different we are!
More than a language school, EnglishSmart is considered a Cultural Language Center.
Innovative in its methods and the first choice for those seeking specialized English.
But recognition is not the school’s true measure of success.
Our success is found in:
• The student who finally speaks without fear.
• The professional who earns a promotion.
• The traveler who connects with the world.
For 19 years, we have not simply taught grammar, we have built confidence by teaching from the heart.
Our mission has always guided us:
To be unique in the field of language education by continuously creating opportunities for our students to practice, improve, and perfect their English.
At EnglishSmart, we believe mistakes are not failures — they are stepping stones.
We give our students the freedom to make mistakes, learn from them, and correct them in a supportive environment. We teach from the heart because we know that confidence cannot grow in fear.
Language learning is personal. It requires courage. And for 19 years, we have stood beside our students as they discovered their voice.
19 Years… and We’re Just Getting Started.
What began as a vision in Toronto, has grown into a thriving community in Querétaro. Thousands of students have walked through EnglishSmart’s doors. Each one having brought a goal, a challenge, a dream.
And each year, our commitment grows stronger.
We continue to innovate. We continue to improve. We continue to believe in the power of education to transform lives.
Nineteen years is not just a celebration of time — it is a celebration of accomplishment.
To our students, families, teachers, and community: thank you for being part of this journey. Your trust inspires us every day. And my biggest thanks to Miss Dani and Oscar that ventured following a dream which turned into what EnglishSmart is today. I for one consider myself very fortunate to have found this school and having been given the opportunity to become one of their teachers. I wasn’t here at the beginning of this dream, but I’ve been a proud part of the school’s team for almost 8 years.
