Hello, it’s me, I was wondering if after all these years you’d like to meet… HAHA just kidding, do you know this song? Have you ever heard of it before? Who sings it? Every time I start this blog, I cannot just erase that first phrase from my mind. Anyway, after all it’s actually true, after a whole year, it’s me again.
I’ve been watching lots of movies recently as part of my new hobbies with my boyfriend. And my idea for this blog is recommendations on activities you can do, places you can try, and other things to do. You can always adjust this to your budget and time!! And of course, do them with your better half, your mom, dad, sibling, friend, or it can be a solo activity! The point is to have fun, enjoy the activity, and disconnect from the world.
- Go to the movies, watch a movie or series at home
This one depends on your budget, but the movies I have recently watched and loved are:

The Wild Robot (movie): Wow this is a beautiful and a very moving movie. It tells us how important it is to be kind to each other, to overcome challenges and how you can do better than what you’re supposed to do, or accomplish more. You’re going to love it.
Nosferatu (movie): Wow this movie is going to blow your mind! The acting, the details, the music, everything is so well prepared. It’s dark and you might get the chills. If you like Dracula movies, I highly recommend it. If not well, pass, because the darkness in this storyline is not for weak stomachs.

The conclave (movie): Don’t worry if you’re not a catholic or you don’t know much about what happens inside the Vatican when the Pope passes away. That’s okay. You can just think of this movie as a mystery and enjoy the process of what happens. You might be surprised at the end.
Crimson Peak (MAX-HBO, movie): This is one of my favourite movies of all time, but I just recently watched it with my boyfriend. If you love romantic movies with dark plot twists, details and secrets, this movie is totally for you.

The Penguin (MAX-HBO, series): If you’re into Batman, you’re going to love this storyline. It tells the story of a Villain. I’m only on episode 5, but I’m loving a different side and perspective to this character. It also gives us more perspective on what happens in the city.
The Rings of Power (MAX-HBO, series): If you love The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies, you are going to love this series. It has an amazing cast, it gives us some sneak peeks to understand the movies better and the story is just perfect. If you truly love these stories, well, I think you’re going to love this series.

2. Put a puzzle together!
It stimulates the brain, and it can either piss you off, HAHA, or relax you, I guess it depends on your mood. Sometimes we don’t want to do this because most puzzles are expensive, but (I want to say that no one is paying us to say this) I have found incredible discounts and good quality puzzles at Chedraui. However, my number one store to purchase them from is Liverpool. If you go when they have discounts, you can purchase 700 pesos puzzles for only 200. That’s really cheap, so take advantage of these discounts.
3. SPA nights!!
Buy some facemasks, select a good movie, go for some snacks, and just enjoy everything. If you do it by yourself it’s ok, but if you have someone to share the moment with it’s even more amazing. You can laugh at each other, have good food and drinks and play some board games or just watch a movie. Have fun and enjoy every single second.
I hope you like these ideas and suggestions. And if you do, leave us a comment mentioning your experience doing one of them. I know in the beginning I was going to mention more things to do, but well, you will have to wait for part two!! And if you want to participate by leaving a suggestion, text us!
Remember, a date doesn’t have to be expensive. If you have enough creativity, with the most modest budgets you can do lots of different things. Enjoy a full afternoon with activities.

With all my love,
Mercy AL
